Whatcha drinking (2025)?

Went shopping today and treated myself to lunch out-by myself!

We had ginger ale and brandy with a bit of lemon, which the Internet says is called a Horse’s Neck/Horse’s Neck with a Kick.

I didn’t know all that…I just saw the brandy and the ginger ale and thought, “Why not?” 🤷🏻‍♂️

I bought a 4 pack of lemon lime and bitters for grandkids tomorrow
When Covid happened I started making my own bitters. This is gentian root.

This one on the left is particularly good. The ingredients are mixed with 1 cup of highest proof you can get alcohol. I use Golden Grain brand at 190 proof.

This is a good book.

That's a good price. Can't really find them much in Rome, GA unless you're willing to pay too much. Online they're anywhere from $1.50/oz up to how much have you got! Mine cost pennies an oz. 👍

Not really my cup of tea but grandkids love it. When we go to our Chinese restaurant they order that so I know they like it. Is it a Chinese thing???

Bitters actually started as a medicinal way to take herbal infusions so it probably spans many cultures. Hailing originally from New Orleans LA one of the favored brands is Peychaud. Peychaud's Bitters - Wikipedia
