This one on the left is particularly good. The ingredients are mixed with 1 cup of highest proof you can get alcohol. I use Golden Grain brand at 190 proof.

That's a good price. Can't really find them much in Rome, GA unless you're willing to pay too much. Online they're anywhere from $1.50/oz up to how much have you got! Mine cost pennies an oz.Cheers for that

Bitters actually started as a medicinal way to take herbal infusions so it probably spans many cultures. Hailing originally from New Orleans LA one of the favored brands is Peychaud. Peychaud's Bitters - WikipediaNot really my cup of tea but grandkids love it. When we go to our Chinese restaurant they order that so I know they like it. Is it a Chinese thing???
