It doesn't look like the cucumbers we get here so I probably wouldn't have guessed.

We don't get them here, so I'd never get that. I get the Bassett range here ok though. My weakness is their jelly babies.
I had a look through my kitchen drawers, couldn't find anything to put up. Nuts.

I was going to suggest those, but the original photo seemed to show one without sugar on. Perhaps it was a partially consumed on just to throw us off the scent?

The picture with the packet was taken straight out of the fridge (where all sweet stuffs reside). The close-up was taken when it had warmed up some (doesn't take long here).

I should have known because I have some! But the photo threw me. As you say - the sugar coating has melted.
