This is one I prepared earlier but I never noticed the green/yellow tinge. Very strange. Please ignore the tinge.

Nope - its a Parisienne scoop or melon baller.

My wife will happily sit and eat half a water melon whilst watching TV. No special spoon required.

The green thing looks eerily like a snakes head!

It is a pig's kidney, yes.

I think the hole helps to release the balls as you make them. You can use it to make potato balls too - from raw potato then fry them.

I should have got this as I have at least one of these.
