I think yours are darker - I expect it can vary in colour - but the shapes are quite distinctive and not really like any other spice. It wasn't until I took the photo that I realised this, as to (my) naked eye the shape isn't as noticeable.

Yes. I always thought they were cubes until I took the photograph.

Nope and nope

It's a very small part of a macro picture taken with a macro/wide angle lens that had to be focused manually as the auto focus wouldn't work as I was so close. I'm going to have to look at the camera instructions as I've forgotten how to use the thing since it's been so long since we've used it.
