Who likes using Paper Straws?

Paper straws suck (no pun intended). I love a mixed drink or frozen beverage, but those are slow sippers and by the time I'm halfway through the paper straw is oh so disappointing.
However in my recent travels I have seen biodegradable straws that are made of a material that feels like plastic and works just as well in cold beverages:

I suspect they might melt in hot beverages, but I have no idea which heathen would try to drink a hot beverage through a straw...
 
No love for the paper straw here. They fall apart in the drink and you wind up with pulp no matter what you order. There is some straws that mix into milk:

For milk they're enjoyable enough. But Im not sure if you'd feel like packing them around for an on the go drink, or using them in a slurpee or something. Might be some good combos?
