Just finished knitting this shawl. Still need to sew the ends in and then block it to the size it should be, but until life dries out a little washing and blocking isn't going to be feasible. I'll start a new project instead.

It's about 5 foot long by 18 inches wide. It will be roughly 5½-6 foot long by 2 foot wide when blocked (American designer so imperial measurements)

I'm considering extending the left hand side as you look at it. I know a lot of people knitting it are considering the same.

Getting back into miniature painting. I used to do competitions and sometimes won prizes but it's been 8 years since I held a brush. So these are a trial version, which needs some work on the details but I need some specialist paint for that. Still is looking decent for a start.

Yeah it's beautiful isn't it? do you still paint?

I had lots of Warhammer too, my ex just kept it in England which is why I didn't touch it for the past 8 years. It hurt to have to start again from nothing after losing competition winning figurines.

But I realised I'm wasting a potential opportunity to have my own small business. So I am going to paint Warhammer, Lotr and D&D figurines on commission once good enough.
