Flowers along the way to Tower Hill tube station:

Last night on my way home from Canberra I happened to be going passed this viewpoint at dusk. Lake George (when full) is the largest inland freshwater lake in Australia (apparently). The disturbance in the water inn the foreground is being made by a large pod of pelicans (Australian pelicans). I spotted them on my way into Canberra. Normally there is a small pod at the other end, of about 8 individuals but yesterday I saw a second pod of about 30 pelicans.

It is slowly filling up, but still has quite a lot of 'spare capacity' before it is anything like suitable for the yatch club or steamer that used to run on it!

Not that long ago, this was totally dry and being used to land handgliders and paragliders on.

Golden Wattle. It's native to SE Australia and is in full flower in the Canberra area causing much hayfever! The sides of the roads are all yellow at present. It grows into trees 5-10m high and every branch and twig is covered in flowers at this time of year.

They are water dragons. All of them are different individuals out trying to warm up on the rocks.

Happy to see you walking, how's the pain for you?

Happy to see you walking, how's the pain for you?
Lower back comes and goes and I've found that if I walk with my crutch on the right instead of the left, my replaced hip muscles (left side) don't hurt as much.... hubby seems to be more of a limiting factor at the moment which we'd expected.

Just got to get to the bottom of the neck issues which are affecting my hands badly... That's this time next week.

How's you?

What's up with the hubby?

And am sorry you're still in this position, I really hope some relief is coming your way , you really deserve it.

I am still pretty much the same, can do about half a day of what I used to before this pain started. I'm getting a double dose of pain meds from friday on so hopefully that will finally bring some relief.

Hubby was diagnosed with severe OA on both ankles 6 weeks before I was diagnosed with severe OA on both hips. He was already too severe for joint replacement so fusion was the only option. The first op happened Feb 2020 hence my patents coming out to help me out and getting stranded in Aus for 6 months.
