The Moon, Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter and Saturn aren't usually this close, but for the first time in 80 years or so they will be in a perfect conjunction. The closest they will be is on Dec 21. This will only happen again in 60 years

We used to have these metal bridges all over the place when I was a kid, but they've all but disappeared from landscape these days. I loved crossing them, they'd rumble and shake something awful. I took these on my way back from having my grocery cart hijacked:

St Pancras station came perilously close to being pulled down in the 1960s. It was saved largely by a campaign led by future Poet Laureate John Betjeman. Fittingly, there is a statue of Betjeman at the station and a nearby pub bearing his name. It's a pretty good pub, too.
