Your Photos

Gorgeous! You have that philosophical far-away look in all those photos.
Guess that's because I am diagnosed with Aspergers 😄 no joke by the way , I never mentioned it here before but I am diagnosed since I was 27.
Hence why I deal with my stepsons very well despite their severe autism, I relate though I am very high functioning. My husband has ASD too.
My ( also autistic) dad used to say I always have wheels turning in my mind, I think that is what you see. My mind is never quiet.

Beautiful photos - especially that last one, dreamily wondering when an online group of friends will come along to share your love of cooking!

I have two nephews (one my side, one MrsT’s side) diagnosed with Asperger’s.

I'm a very mild case , I scored one point above the ' normal ' treshold which put me in the autism spectrum. That's why I haven't mentioned it before, I'm perfectly able to function in most social situations. Only those who are really close to me notice sometimes. So that's why it's hardly important but it does cause the distant look Morning Glory mentioned sometimes.

We have floods again, the worst I have seen for awhile.

Drain lids have been removed to help cope

Open fields are now just rivers

This boat is tied to the river bank, there is a path to the right of it.

Here in Frisco, we have dry retention ponds tied to our drainage system. They are in every neighborhood, and sized according to how much land is covered by buildings and pavement. In very heavy rains, they can fill up and hold water while the drainage system catches up. It never floods in Frisco anymore.

We have cypress trees and grass in our neighborhood retention pond (NOT shown below). We closed it in with wrought Iron fencing, and made it a dog park for neighborhood residents. Since our home yards are small, it is a great place to let your dog run loose.

The open fields are a flood plain so doing their job well and stopping a lot of dwellings from flooding.
