Wish I'd taken a pic of mine last night, cheese crispy the right colour and bits of burnt corners on the toast made a great meal. Saved the crunchy burnt bits for the wife. Her faves!

For this concoction, I lightly toasted the bread and then grilled (halogen oven) the ham and cheese until the cheese melted then replaced the onion and tomato slices, added salt and black pepper and returned to the grill for another few minutes.
It was a knife and fork job.

I saw somebody make this to serve with homemade tomato soup in the recent past. I intend to try it in the future. Notes I made on my phone memo app.
