butter
Butter is a dairy product made from the fat and protein components of churned cream
Butter is a dairy product made from the fat and protein components of churned cream. It is a semi-solid emulsion at room temperature, consisting of approximately 80% butterfat. It is used at room temperature as a spread, melted as a condiment, and used as an ingredient in baking, sauce making, pan frying, and other cooking procedures. It is made by churning milk or cream to separate the fat globules from the buttermilk. Most frequently made from cow's milk, butter can also be manufactured from the milk of other mammals, including sheep, goats, buffalo, and yaks.

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

This is a lesson in how to make healthy cabbage ‘unhealthy’ but delicious. Cooked ‘en papillote’ the green outer leaves of the cabbage stay green and flavours are intensified. The caramelised cut edges provide umami flavour and juniper adds a hint of pine forest. Serve on its own with some...
I don't very often post recipes based on recipes from other people. But having tried for many years to make croissants (with limited success), I eventually tried this recipe from celebrity baker Paul Hollywood. I've made croissants several times bas3d on this recipe and it always works. I...

If you want to call this recipe 'spiced anchovy and mushroom butter’ feel free. But as its a riff on a traditional English savoury paste, The Gentleman’s Relish, I thought that The Lady’s Relish would be a convenient shorthand. The recipe for Gentleman's Relish is still top secret but its known...

The original pancake recipe came from Mymoroccanfood.com but I thinned it out a bit to make the pancakes more crepe-like so I could spread a filling on and fold. I added a chocolate drizzle, but lost the picture unfortunately. They were just slightly sweet and made an excellent dessert...
