Burnt toast

Sounds like we're in the minority. That smell just makes me want to heave.
My mum used to burn it a lot, scrap it and then expect us to eat it. Back then on the 70's I know there was no money to spare, but I can afford not to eat burnt toast nowadays. It is one of the very few things I will throw away.
Even the chooks won't eat it!

Here’s how I fixed bur…ahem, well-done toast:

I can't stand burnt toast, but my wife loves it. We have a 4 slice toaster; 2 slots are set for light and 2 are set for burnt. It keeps peace in the family!
Someone keeps adjusting the settings on the toaster at home. Two of them pop up underdone and the other two slightly burnt so it sounds like it might be you, are you breaking into my place when I’m out and fiddling with my toaster settings? 😂

I would eat those.
No problem
I’ll tell you, I pulled those out and left it up to MrsT:

“You want those, or do you want me to make another round? I have plenty of bread.”

“Why wouldn’t I eat those? They’re fine.”

And, you know what? They were!

Not here it wouldn't. Even the smell of burnt toast turns my stomach, yet we live with a wood stove go figure.

It’s not the same smell, not one bit. One is the smell of lovely warmth and the other is an acrid assualt on your senses threatening to ruin the next few hours of your day. Down with burnt toast!!!
