A wonderfully happy Xmas to you all! In good Venezuelan tradition, our Xmas dinner was last night. We found a small leg of pork (28lbs ) and roasted it all day. Served with all sorts of goodies. We finally got to sleep about 3am... Today I am determined to do

He also got a new my side, your side pillow set after his side finally gave up after roughly 15-20 years use. I hadn't realised until they were delivered from the UK, that the your side is now much smaller than previously... the original set were ⅔rds of his pillow being his side and ⅓rd being my side.

SatNavSaysStraightOn I too add toiletries to our Food Bank Donations.
Our Dental Hygienist gives us each a new toothbrush, floss, lip balm, soft picks (meant to floss too), mouthwash and a tub of toothpaste.
We use an electric toothbrush and a special toothpaste for DH, but every time asks us, "do you need a goodie bag?" even though she knows darn well we give those to the Food Bank
Also, when we were traveling quite a bit, I'd "collect" those mini shampoos and such from the hotels and place those in the donation bag as well.

No presents here, it's not part of our Dutch traditional Christmas celebration. We do have candy for the coming 3 months though
Shortbread, chocolate, stollen, biscuits etc

I made these after the first Christmas in Australia because hubby said it didn't feel Australian enough.

Families all have similar ones after I received requests!



Hubby's is the wombat, mine is the echidna.

Very cute! I wore a similar one to the lunch with my parents, and to the walk alongside the river yesterday.
