You know I don't think it was celebrated in the UK until relatively recently. I think its an American import. It certainly wasn't a thing when I was a kid.

I was born in 1970, growing up it wasn't a thing.

I’m 58, and kids said it when I was growing up in Ohio.

You know I don't think it was celebrated in the UK until relatively recently. I think its an American import. It certainly wasn't a thing when I was a kid.

It was, with pagans. From the 50s on Samhain has been celebrated by Wiccans, and Wicca was centered in the UK when the movement started. It has always been fringe and certainly not mainstream until recently however
