hiya

I had it once, appeared to be getting better in an average timescale (as existed for the original variant), then went downhill. Didn't end up in hospital, but had some damage to the small airways of the lungs.
After that I tried stay away from joe public - did not want to catch it again when I was still affected by the first infection 🙊
We didn't get hospitalized and no damage to lungs thankfully, but I've got tinnitus now and it won't go away.

I've still got phobias about breathing other people's airspace and touching things. I've sanitizer in my car and my purse. I only recently stopped wearing masks within the past year, though when my MIL was in hospital I wore one, not just for me though.

It was certainly an interesting one from the POV that many people got over the initial infection and then got hit later.

TBH I figure a combination of Covid and post covid heath issues have combined to mess me up, prior to that I had a bit of arthritis in my knee and shoulder (I had some arthritis in my thumb joints since I was about 12).
It's just too big a difference - pretty much fine before, literally good for nothing for a year or two after

I also have tinnitus, it appeared with all my other issues. Mine is pulsatile tinnitus - I can hear my pulse in my right ear 24 hours a day.
Believe me, that gets old fast :stop:

I've got crickets in my head. I went to an ENT and he said it's not age related hearing loss, my hearing is good for my age--someone I know who also has it suggested hearing aids but the specialist said that won't work for me. But pulsing would make me insane!

Yeah I got mine checked by ENT too, there are strokes and high blood pressure on my mothers side of the family, so as I was hearing my pulse I wanted to be sure there were no issues with the main arteries/veins.
There wasn't, but better to be safe. Nothing they can do to stop it. I guess I need to view it as a free heart monitor - it tells me if my pulse is faster or slower than usual
