How is the corona virus affecting you?

Much as I dislike the turd, I wouldn’t wish this on him. Presumably he’s somebodies loved one. I wish them both a speedy recovery closely followed by total wipeout in the election.

I certainly don't want him to die, but he needs to suffer a little. If he comes through this with ease, his ego will get even bigger (I have great genes), and he'll claim Covid-19 is no big deal. He needs just a taste of what Covid-19 is like for millions of people.

Very good point.

Can't remember the last time I wrote a cheque either!
We write probably four checks a year. Without looking, I can say the last one we wrote was back in Spring to the guy who power-washed the house.

I know I mentioned this before, but around here, a lot of places don't take cards, enough so that it's second nature to look for the little credit card stickers on the door, or the little swipe box at the register, when I first walk in. I've been caught out more than once without the ability to pay because I don't carry cash and I assume everyone takes cards. Around here, they don't. :(

BTW, I'm 54, I got my first credit card when I was 20, and I still remember exactly what I bought with it the first time I used it: a baby-blue textured button-down shirt, at Montgomery Wards, for $11.

Cash...I hate dealing with cash. I don't carry it. If I have it, it's spent by the end of the day, and I usually won't even know what on

Unless it's a major store for a major purchase very few outlets accept credit cards here. Hotels generally will. Offering to pay someone by cheque would probably have you committed (individuals are not permitted to have cheque books anyway).

Cash has always been the way to go here because it's trusted. And in the last 20 years ATMs have multiplied 1,000 fold so obtaining cash is rarely a problem.

According to my non racist colleague, this virus is man made by the Chinese.

That conspiracy theory has been floating around the US for months. But, our scientific and intelligence communities have found no evidence to back it up.

I'm the opposite, I carry a lot of cash, mainly in the car or next to my bed in a cabinet.

Again, thankfully, my husband tested negative.
And I am now the one coughing and spluttering, but as I've only seen him this week we're sure it's the same virus. No corona, woohoo!

Just hoping I can go in to get my stoma checked on tuesday now, because you can't go anywhere when you're coughing.. sigh. I'll give em a call and see what they say, as my stoma situation is urgent and we just had a negative test.

Phew! That's good that he tested negative. Hope the stoma issue can now be addressed. :okay:
