I hate shopping with my wife. However I enjoy with butcher. We like and buy the same stuff. My wife is not interested in spices or anything like that.
I'll try to get a pic next time.

I'm with you. I've already decided what I want to buy before I've even entered the shop. She decides what to buy based on 3 hours wandering around the aisles.
Last time we both went shopping, she said "I'm just going to look for some shoes" and I said "I'm just going to the restaurant over there..."
2 hours , a couple of beers, a huge burger (and a dessert) she came into the restaurant and said "why did you eat?"
Daft question, that!

Yep the kommandant has to pick everything up and look at it. If shes looking for shoes or a top I wait in the car and do sudoku. :) :)

I, on the other hand, am poles apart; nothing I enjoy more than nosying around a supermarket or farmer's market to see what wierd and wonderful things I can pick up :D
The other day I was in a new place, Rio supermarket, for no particular reason. found some imported, smoked cheese which had been marked as something completely different and less than half the price. Bought! Silly, really, because I didn't actually need it. Still, it was good!
In another place I found pomegranate molasses abandoned at the back of the shelf (probably because no-one knew what they were) and with a 2022 price tag.

I love going in supermarkets/markets and and I always visit whatever I can find in countries I visit to see what they are like and what stuff I can get to bring home too.
 
This is a video (not mine, just some YT random person) of someone walking round the wet market near where I live. It's a 2 min walk from my house and I go there maybe 5 times a week in the mornings. In the vid it looks like it was filmed around midday as it's quite empty now and the stallowners are starting to wind down and a lot of the produce is gone, but go there at 9 and it's heaving and the fruits and veg and fish, chicken, pork - it's all piled high.


I cued the video to show the food market side of things, but if you're interested and start from the beginning you'll see the other side which is the hawker centre for cooked food.
