Peppercorns

I've tried growing peppercorns here but not had much luck. Seems like they need specific heat and (especially) humidity to reproduce.
It gets so humid here in the summer when you go outside you can smell the woods *fermenting*... Probably why so good with growing things that need water.

Royal Mail have messaged my peppercorns will be here today, that’s super fast 👏
But no-one had any normal green peppercorns in stock so these are Green Thai Peppercorns.
Ideally I’d like to have had both so I could compare them side by side (they look the same) but beggars can’t be choosers!

Choose who you beg from! 🤭

They’re here!

Wow they pack a punch. Really nice type of heat though and a lovely little crunch.

Kewpie mayonnaise isn't sweet. It is richer from having more egg yolks but not sweet! I love making spicy mayonnaise by adding Sriracha. It's yummy stuff, ask kaneohegirlinaz!
Are you sure it’s not sweet? I just read the ingredients label and it contains apple juice, glucose and sugar.

Edit: It looks like the European and American Kewpie ingredients are different.
The Kewpie I bought is the Japanese version.

It also contains Barley Malt which means I won’t be able to try it.
The Japanese version also has the ubiquitous MSG in it. The European version has a lot less ingredients.
