I’m quarantining until I’ll get anti-covid test, so my plans are stay home, stay home and....... stay home.
I’m not in the mood to cook or eating very much at the moment, maybe I’ll warm up a veggie soup I have in the freezer.
I’ll read a bit and watching a movie afterwards

Three-day weekend here. I really need to do some yard work, and even though infections are spiking again, I'd like to go out to a more distant grocer's and grab a couple of things I can't find anywhere else.

That's about it, really. I'm hoping to make those damn almond crescents that have been on my menu plan since the start of the almond challenge.

Oh, look...it's raining out. Oh well, looks like I can't do that yard work I've been putting off for six months. That's a real shame, that is. I was really looking forward to it, too. Now I have to resign myself to sitting inside, going through cookbooks, and watching dumb ol' scary movies. 😬

A cool but sunny Autumn day is forecast today. We plan to head for the woods this morning, the dogs will chase after rabbit scent whilst we search for wild blackberries. After a brief trip out to buy the Sunday papers we will head for the kitchen to prep for lunch, an occasion marked by the opening of something cold and fizzy. Roast beef (topside) and Yorkshire puddings, followed by a pudding (yes, a pudding) involving apples and (hopefully) blackberries. Collapse in front of a roaring fire with dogs and Sunday papers. I love Sunday's.

Fond memories for us mate. The Observer I hope. I can't get my head around reading it online. I read the Guardian online but I think intrinsically to do so with the Observer would insult the raison detre of a civilized Sunday.

Sounds like a perfect day. :okay:

I love Sunday's.
Breakfast on Sunday back in the day, the usual with a freshly ironed Sunday Observer. After finishing the meal Mrs Blank would arm wrestle me for the color sup. Being a British gentleman I let her win.

I have a prime NY Strip thawing in the fridge. The Steelers play at noon. I love Sunday's, too.

First, that sounds like a top day you have planned. Enjoy it! :)

For us, it's waffles and sausages for breakfast, a trip to a favorite grocery store, and French onion soup later tonight, finishing out like every Sunday with a British murder mystery.

I generally prefer Saturdays, as Sundays just serve to remind me that I'm back to work Monday, but I'm off tomorrow, so I can thoroughly enjoy this Sunday. :)

I've already done 1 thing I planned for today, alphabetize our spice boxes so we don't have to look for rarely used spices and finally find them in the last box we look in. This will also eliminate having duplicate bottles or bags of spices because we overlook them or just don't feel like looking for them.

I also plan on working on cleaning up or electronic cookbooks. There are so many recipes that are duplicated to even quadrupled, and there are recipes that are saved on 1 computer or the other, and that never got uploaded to cloud storage.

I also need to make the spatzle dough for Craig's dinner tonight.
