Plans for today (2025)

I got to decide which town to drive to to get money from the ATM.
Town 1 is closer, but only has 1 ATM, and pretty rudimentery shopping, but has a good mobile money office
Town 2 is further, 3 ATM's, better shopping. Poor mobile money shop

I am not really desperate (yet) for food items.

Ah well, first 17 km is the same, so I'll decide once on the road

Easy decision.

Usually its a case of if I turn left out of the end of the track, I can get the vehicle serviced and filled up with expensive fuel, post a few items in a post office that hasn't gone digital yet and can't for the life of them post stuff correctly overseas but is excellent at foreign money exchange and getting passports sorted... and at certain times of the year (actually just one) I can buy locally grown garlic that isn't a damp squid and has some punch to it.

But that's all I can do going left, unless I then turn right... but it's quicker to turn right and then at the highway go left to get to the same place...

Otherwise I turn right, and then at the highway go right again... and drive till the highway runs out... and you can do pretty much anything there including buying sex legally. ACT legalised brothels and sex workers
 
So, I turned left and used Town 1
And of course the ATM ran out of money!

But luckily the wait was not too long.
Then to the shop for a couple pork chops.
Parking was tight and I could get out of the car, but had to get in via the passengers side.
The step into the cruiser was just too high to squeeze in on the driver's side.
Then mobile money shop and that was quick :)
Now home

How right you are. And the funny thing is, we think it's perfectly normal to have pomegranate molasses, sundried tomatoes, rice flour, tofu, Thai fish sauce, vanilla beans and 37 different spices in our cupboards. "Normal "people would be saying ("OMG!! Are these guys completely inSANE???) :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

You need to hop out on one of your class sites and post, “I really need to get this IP figured out!” - and when someone says, “I can help you with that,” respond with, “Thanks, I’m trying to make some yogurt using it…” and then disappear. :wink:

I too went off in the wrong direction until I got to the word “dinner”
You’re doing what to your IP address? This doesn’t make sen.. oh 😂
