Plans for today (2025)

Yogurt cake experimentation again, it's looking like the density of the cake comes down to the denser yogurt I'm using (Fage 5% fat), so less yogurt/dilution should help. I just need to get ratio's right too as I use 50% wholemeal flour (general, not bread flour) so that could affect liquid ratios.
This is just me being stubborn - my family has a stubborn streak a mile wide. I adapted a recipe with some yogurt in it, but this recipe was specifically a yogurt cake. I suspect I'll end up with two very similar recipes, but only one way to find out

you should take Puggles and TastyReuben with you, just for 3 expert opinions.
They'd have to come to my house and drool while I take the photos...they are carryout jobs with home evaluation photos. In fact, they don't even ask what the pizza tasted like, they just want to know if it was hot and they want to examine the pics to make sure the toppings are well-distributed, not too much edge crust in proportion to the rest of the pizza, etc.

They'd be welcome to them. I usually only eat 1-2 slices and give the rest to friends and family. Although I have been known to freeze it if I have a heavy work-week ahead so that it makes a quick and easy breakfast (toaster oven) before I hit the road. Actually that's what I am going to do with these 2 pizzas...I'll eat some tonight and DH will have leftover Chipotle chicken bowls. He doesn't like this particular pizza chain, though I do.

As usual by the time I get to this thread the daily plan is already done. There's the daily vacuum still to be done and I've got 2 lbs. of strawberries to clean. Could wash the truck since I got soil everywhere potting up more seedlings.
Fresh strawberries already? Must be from Florida? I'm jealous.

Yes, from Florida. I'm not a big strawberry fan but the price was right. I'll eat them for the health benefits but would rather blueberries.
Hmmm, I am torn on that one. Blueberries are better for baking but if strawberries are perfect they are amazing. I like a berry blend on my pancakes, too. I wish blackberries didn't have such big seeds as I like them quite well.

The have seeds? I just eat them and never noticed. I'd like to grow some but that's an epic battle with the birds. Plus, if they eat the berries I'm growing they won't be inclined to eat the things in the garden that need eating.

And the purple bird poop stains concrete and some other surfaces.

I don't mind the seeds as much as DH does.

Strawberries are fine, I don't mind the seeds in those, but I'm really not a fan of seeds. It's a little annoying as I love the taste of raspberries, but they are full of seeds :meh:
Same with loganberries, we had loads of those growing in my mothers garden - nice flavour (they are related to raspberries if I remember right)
