Also playing around with my new car fridge/freezer. I'm going to have to find out how to calibrate the temperature sensor.
It's about 5 oC colder inside than the display says. Not a real issue, as long as I know.

One way to get a *really close* temperature is to mix equal volumes of ice and water. This will pretty much always be 32°F/0°C.

Not a lot today. We're having a flash flood warning and are also under a tornado threat advisory. Tried getting water at the spring before the bottom dropped out and almost made it. I keep raingear in the truck so not a big deal. Pippi got soaked but she likes wrestling with her towel anyway.

I have an inkbird controller and I am using that temperature probe to check.
The problem with a fridge is that you can't just check the fridge thermostat by dunking it in ice or water.
Even my thermopen is difficult to use as it responds too quickly (and you can't read it when it is inside the fridge).
There is a calibration setting on the fridge so I'll just try different settings and then correct.
Main thing: the thing works and it can freeze!

It's going to be real nice for those longer trips (even further) away from civilisation.
And I do appreciate an ice cold beer when it is 40+ °C :)
