Plans for today (2025)

Well nobody ever said you married a dummy. MrsT might have had a setback from her stroke awhile back but she's still pretty savvy in ways that count.

Thanks - you’ve probably heard/read the news stories about some people being stopped coming back into the US, being pulled aside, and held for hours while agents go through their phones?

Well, one of those people that happened to is a work friend of hers, and it’s one thing to read about it online, but when it starts happening to people you know personally, it starts to hit home in a big way.

I was quite productive today - work, laundry, changed the oil, filter, air cleaner in the mower, and even went in town and ordered new license plates for MrsT’s car.

The BMV/DMV is legendary for soulless bureaucrats and never-ending wait times, but an advantage to living in a small town…time it right (10:30AM in our case), and there won’t be a single customer in there. In and out in 10 minutes.

Got to go to that dodgy post office to try and pick up a parcel. Finally got the battery off the bike trickle charging and it's a 25 min walk so I'm hoping I have enough energy left to pack when we return

But deep joy I have also placed an order at 'Pad Thai Wok' for delivery at lunchtime so that's a job taken care of and hopefully yummy food headed this way

Go get spring water at Turkey Mtn. It's been raining for days so that should be gushing and stupid muddy but that's all okay. Make some rope handles for my mint box and finish up the overnight trotters in the IP. Hmm, SandwichShortOfAPicnic wants more IP recipes with frozen meats so I could post that after I write it up.

Crikey if I cud grown wings I would have, google maps threw me a complete curve ball and lots of very steep streets up the mountain were walked unnecessarily!
