Bismarck was a battleship. Long Johns are what my grandad used to wear under his pyjamas when it was really cold.
So you're actually eating that?
:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
Yeah, in the US long thermal tops and bottoms are Long Johns...but there's also Long John Silver's restaurants...

I know them as cream sticks and they're delicious.

This was yesterdays breakfast. Went for a ride early because yesterday was the last day forecast to have no rain for 10 days!
Not that they can really predict that with any accuracy but combined with the schools breaking up and a the motoring organisations saying this weekend will be one of the worse on record I thought best get my jollies before the West Country is swarmed upon.

It doesn't look great but it was excellent. The bacon was some of the nicest I've ever had (and I generally prefer fatty bacon), the egg was perfectly cooked, the tomatoes were flavourful, the hash browns tasted freshly fried because they were super crispy and everything was HOT. Even the plate was warmed and the tea wasn't stewed!

I was impressed as gluten free breakfasts out are usually sorry affairs and a lot of places struggle to get all the components on the plate at the same time so usually something is much cooler than the rest. Well worth going for a spin in the sun.

I'm surprised to be posting this as I have a 'Full English' about once every two or three months.
My son came in and said I really fancy a full English. Would you like one? Off to the shops he went and then the bell rang (yes I use a bell, don't like shouting unless it's in fun), he'd cooked everyone a Full English and had totally nailed it, good ingredients, nicely cooked all piping hot, crispy bacon too. I'm so full now I feel like Mr Creosote! 😆
Forgive the bad pans, they are the pans I let everyone use, as a consequence they are battered non-stick!
Some of it-

He even used a touch of garlic in with the butter for the mushrooms. Yum!

Your breakfast looks fantastic. I’ve inadvertently licked my phone! 👅

When I was moved back to the US from the UK, the last 10 days or so, I was on my own and staying with an “older” woman who had a room to let (all the billeting on the air base was full up).

The room included breakfast, eaten with her at the little table in her kitchen, and she told me the first morning to just tell her what I wanted and she’d make it, and she rattled off, “Cooked breakfast [meaning full English], scrambled eggs, porridge…,” and I asked for the cooked breakfast, and she made that, and it was fine.

I had that every morning for the next five or six mornings, and she finally got a little fed up with it and began to strongly hint that most folks don’t eat a full English every 🤬 day, young man! :laugh:
