Your breakfast looks fantastic. I’ve inadvertently licked my phone! 👅

When I was moved back to the US from the UK, the last 10 days or so, I was on my own and staying with an “older” woman who had a room to let (all the billeting on the air base was full up).

The room included breakfast, eaten with her at the little table in her kitchen, and she told me the first morning to just tell her what I wanted and she’d make it, and she rattled off, “Cooked breakfast [meaning full English], scrambled eggs, porridge…,” and I asked for the cooked breakfast, and she made that, and it was fine.

I had that every morning for the next five or six mornings, and she finally got a little fed up with it and began to strongly hint that most folks don’t eat a full English every 🤬 day, young man!
I am very impressed you could eat that many in a row and truly believe you when you say you can eat out every night for weeks and not get tired of it because Full English is a hefty breakfast 😂

Whenever we visit the UK, an FEB* is the first thing we get, either at the airport upon landing or somewhere along the way to our accommodations. It’s also the last thing we eat on the way out, and we have a couple in between.

*I’ve talked to the BBB (British Breakfast Board) and told them they’re free and clear to use my slogan “FEB is FAB!” as long as I get free FEBs for life, but I’ve not heard back from them yet.

Scrambled eggs with tomato, onion, and butter cheese, and reheated roasted potatoes, to which I’ve added some salty country ham.

Yesterday’s breakfast.
And an annoying ear worm sung for the entire duration of cooking courtesy of Sesame Street

🎵 Two of the eggs are not like the others,
Two of these things don’t quite belong,
Can you tell which things are not like the others
By the time I finish my song? 🎵

Did you get it? That’s right! Two of them are ‘Happy Eggs’ and not Burford Browns!

Honestly brains are just nuts sometimes 😆

Smoked Salmon Scrambled Eggs on Muffins (English Muffins) buttered with black garlic butter. As muffins make small portions the scrambled eggs could handle a good glug of double cream without being too rich.

Breakfast tacos this morning. Eggs scrambled with the Trinity (diced onions, celery and bell pepper) and Colby/jack cheese, in flour tortillas. Sorry, didn't bother to snap a picture -- too hungry.

People don’t use celery in eggs often enough, IMO. Even if I don’t feel like dicing some celery, I’ll use celery salt to season them.

I had some leftover Trinity from my étouffée. It was still good, so I tossed it in the pan first to soften it up, and added the eggs. It was good. The celery was diced quite small.

No pics, but steel-cut oats with vanilla, maple syrup, brown sugar, and golden raisins stirred in.
