Breakfast yesterday was an appalling gummy roll with plastic cheese in the middle and a cup of very weak tasteless coffee. Oh, and I almost forgot the most tasteless cupcake ever, all served with a smile at 5.30am by the lovely people from TAP airlines.
As I worked my jaws through the gummy roll I thought "well, doesn't matter, I'll get something decent to eat in Lisbon Airport". Alas, it was not to be as the passport control was backed up to the end of Terminal 1 and I just managed to catch the flight to Heathrow on time. No food on the plane to Heathrow as I certainly was NOT going to pay 10 Euros for a grotty sandwich. Leapt on the tube in Heathrow and arrived at my son's house at around 2.30pm. Dumped suitcases, and went straight over the road for 2 pts of London Pride and a huge plateful of my favourite British comfort food - Scampi and Chips!

Egg (in the shape of a manta ray or some kind of spaceship) is optional.

I had half of a bagel half, toasted and smeared with smoked salmon dip (cream cheese, shallot, capers) and topped with avocado and everything bagel seasoning. Yum!

You broke your 3-day rule? I personally would eat them for a week if they were still around...but I like leftovers (repurposed or not).

I must have, but that ham is soaked in brine, so it would probably last forever.

Yeah it's one of the few ways I like to eat ham, diced into small pieces and used to season other foods. I would love it in a potato-eggy hash.
