I should point out, though, that whipped cream on pancakes is pretty common here, especially if they're fruit-topped.

Sure but the combo with breakfast potatoes and bacon/eggs put me off

Yesterday's breakfast was scrambled eggs here too, on toast with butter though

I know I wouldn't like that. I recently tossed an almost full bottle of Kewpie mayo that was wasting space in my fridge.

I never put whipped cream on pancakes with fruit - too sweet. I usually put sour cream on pancakes with fruit.

That's another thing that never crossed my mind. Not sure what to think about that, either. But, it does sound better than scrambled eggs and mayo.

I used to like egg salad, AKA egg mayonnaise in the UK. I had an egg salad sandwich a couple of months ago, and didn't like it like I used to.
