Show us your breakfast (2025)

I made banana and oat pancakes topped with yogurt and berries, honey and maple syrup. .

I made extra so DH can have a quick and easy breakfast this week while I am at work.

I often put broccoli in my stuffed potatoes but I think your way sounds just fine. I'd have to throw some eggs in there just for fun (sans broccoli)!
Regular style, butter, cheddar, sour cream, bacon.
I'm not a fan of things other than the above in my baked potatoes, maybe some green onions, but that's it.

I love bacon, but not with blueberries, raspberries and maple syrup. That's akin to putting anchovies and caviar on your cornflakes.
No one said they were going on the same plate. I think I was pretty clear that the bacon was on the side and was not to touch the syrup (or the pancakes, either). It's no different than eating dessert right after a savory meal.

I eat the bacon either before or after the pancakes, not at the same time.

You’ve never partaken of candied bacon, I assume (bacon sweetened with brown sugar and maple syrup before being cooked).

Also, bacon is frequently cured/flavored with brown sugar and/or maple syrup. It’s a very common flavor combination here…the whole sweet-salt-savory thing.

I've even heard of bacon ice cream. Not my thing, but...

That, and chocolate-dipped bacon, which is also not my thing.

I made candied bacon a long time ago - brown sugar, maple syrup, and sriracha, and I think MrsT and I ate the entire pound in one sitting.
