Why the skewers with shot glasses? I haven't a clue.

It's trendy to serve little mini-bites in shot glasses, and to have little garnishes with some shots. Google "shot glasses and skewers" and take a look at the images that pop up, and that's what you could do with them.

Snifters are back - but it's not the same treat you know and love

Everyone in the whisky club im in uses a Glencairn glass for thay exact reason. The whisky releases the smell and its funnelled up to your waiting nose.

Does anybody still use snifters today?

I have both bourbon glasses and snifter glasses. The snifter glasses do hold in the aroma. However, they are kind of awkward to drink out of. If I use a snifter glass its for my scotch vs bourbon.

That´s one of the Islay scotches I haven´t tried. When I went to Islay in 2001, Port Charlotte didn´t exist.

I love the Islay scotches. Laphroaig cask strength and Lagavulin 16 are a couple of my favorites

I visited the Laphroaig distillery in 2001. We spent 3 days on Islay.
I don´t remember how many I´ve tried, but it´s got to be most of them.
I came away from the island with a Laphroiag, a Bowmore, a Bruichladdich and a Bunnahabhain.

I liked the Bruichladdich, but probably because it was the least peaty of the islays...

I love peaty. My son gifted me the Macallan 12. He wanted to get me something that ventured away from peat. I have to say, I absolutely love it!!!

Not just Laphroig, I love the barrel proof Laphroaig. One of my favorites lol

I much prefer a good, cask strength Ledaig than Laphroaig, although I tried a sample of a single cask Laphroaig last night and it was fantastic. 62.4% I think it was.
