Definitely a good option. Sweet potatoes are beautifully creamy and unctious when baked.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating today. Happy Thursday to those who aren’t.
Actually feeling quite relaxed right now, as all my culinary contributions were prepared ahead of time, and I’m not hosting, so we just have to show up and eat.
Normally, even when it’s just the two of us, I’m sort of freaking out about the meal, but none of that for me this year.
I had a pretty good time yesterday. Our hosts’ kitchen is a very, very large space, like a scaled-down commercial kitchen in a residential space - two of everything, so a complete kitchen at each end of a rectangular space, and a large prep area in the middle. Three of us were in the kitchen working simultaneously yesterday, and no issues at all (and that’s me saying that!), and I think I actually got some good bonding time in with my nieces-in-laws - I think they were surprised I wasn’t a slouch in the kitchen, one (whom I take isn’t the type to throw around compliments lightly) even said she was “seriously impressed,” and that I was “perfect,” because I also did the dishes a few times. Winning hearts wherever I go!
I’ll see about taking pics of the food today, but that may be a no-no, as they stress “phones-down” and the value of not being connected all the time, especially during family time.
