I forgot about the pork fat I keep in the freezer.
Probably the least number of anyone on here.
Vegatable oil, butter and sesame oil. Occasionally an infused oil like garlic.
I do buy other oils specifically for recipes but I don’t keep them long.

Oops, I forgot my sesame oils!Vegetable oil, olive oil, Asian sesame oil, mustard oil, butter. That's it.
Why don't you do it then? LOL!I’m really hoping to see rillette![]()

I know you have always been reluctant, but I would not really call this a competition. It's not like the judge is going to make and eat everything everyone submits! I'd say it truly is just an ingredient challenge, but it's a clever way to keep it fresh by having a different judge and a different ingredient on a regular basis. That's my take on it anyway.I don’t do competitions![]()
I hadn’t thought about it, but I am allowing these as well.Oh, and butter and shortening (Crisco), of course.

I had already assumed that they were included since both are fats...I've got some shortening in my pantry but of course I have olive oil, sesame seed oil, grapeseed oil, peanut oil, vegetable oil, bacon fat, butter, margarine, and a few others I am sure.Oh, and butter and shortening (Crisco), of course.

That's the way i take it too. There's no prize, other than getting to pick the next ingredient. I haven't been making near as many entries as I used to, but the challenge gets me to try new recipes, sometimes even trying an ingredient or technique I've never used before.I know you have always been reluctant, but I would not really call this a competition. Eggzactly! I think it also gives us insight into each other's creative process, which can be very interesting as well. That's the way i take it too.
