The CookingBites recipe challenge: cooking oils/fats

I made alioli* to go with my fresh bread.
But I forgot it needed some lemon juice.
It was good, but pretty potent.
I probably should have used more olive oil.
Gotta make some again

* Catalan version, contains no egg
I find if I make aioli with raw garlic it’s a totally different beast the next day, calms down a lot. I think JAS_OH1 always nukes her garlic a bit to take the edge off first?

I forgot to add the challenge tag to this. I thought I took a picture but I can't find it. I'll add it later.

Ah yes that's right you said that before, soz forgot.
I think it was you who first said it was possible to nuke it?
That was probably MG. it's not impossible but microwaves can be finicky and it can go from a little soft to rock hard quickly. Plus my 1 minute could be 30 seconds in someone else's.

I did use the microwave at times to peel garlic.
Whole cloves, I imagine with a little slit at the rooot end, in a bowl with some water.
Couple seconds and they are out of their skin.
Disclaimer: I haven't had a microwave for over 10 years, so I may remmember wrong
That sounds right. I don't even think the knife cuts would be necessary.

Non-entry? Please don't do that to us. We're all anxiously awaiting a recipe!
The recipe will be written up as i understand, but won't count towards the challenge recipes. SSOAP wanted to use the challenge ingredients as inspiration but not actually enter the challenge officially. So I had said OK.

Rather like doing a competition crossword puzzle and not submitting your completed puzzle.
