My Mom is bleeding. It got me flipped and worried. She still will not go to a hospital or analysis. Called er, they came, she was stabile at 5 pm yesterday. She signed a paper that she refuses hospital.
If her state deteriorates, and she goes unconscious or similar,I am to call er again.
Emotionally this is draining. Physically too.

That sounds awfully distressing, for you and her both. I'm hoping things stabilize for her (and you).

Pretty normal Winter weather now in North Texas...

Psychopoodle has been bugging me every evening for a fire in the fireplace. I finally gave in. He is sacked out in front of a fire right now, just as happy as a poodle can be.

Nobody can say I don't take care of my dog. He's spoiled rotten.

Bother, I've gone down with a bad chest. Was fine this morning, right up until I tried to walk down the track for post. Breathless and coughing. No temperature but my throat is also sore (possibly from coughing), my bronchi hurt (also possibly from coughing). I've been aching the last couple of nights in bed, not really able to sleep which I'd put down to my bad back. Physio said it was bad (saw him yesterday). Temperature is fine though at 36.4°C. Headache could easily be from the storms that have been lurking around all day. Thunder is just on the edge of my hearing.... Very light rain at the time as well (so light it never measured on the weather station we have).

No prizes for guessing where we're off to tomorrow. (Friday we were out shopping because I needed clothes for or citizenship ceremony). So that's exactly 4 days ago... like I said, botheration! <actually it was something else but I really have to keep it polite>. So I'm probably getting my very first covid test done tomorrow!

I bet you are liking it too. But how does he tell you?

I started my antibiotics last night before bed. A case of I got something rather than anything else and feel so much better this morning. Now in a quandary because I don't know if I want to go and sit for hours in a queue, but also if it's responding to my antibiotics then it's definitely a bacterial chest infection and Covid is a virus. I know it doesn't rule out a secondary infection being the thing responding to the antibiotics, but with no temperature, no runny nose, headache etc, I'm left wondering.

Well, I stopped part way through because hubby wanted to get to the testing station as it opened. Retorts of huge queues etc... So that's a 45 minute drive from home....

Once we found the testing station, there were 3 cars in front of us. We'd already preregistered, so were very quickly in and out. Perhaps 5 minutes maximum. So now we isolate until the results come back.

I have to say with all the complaints I've heard from family getting tested, I was expecting something worse than we had. A quick swab around the mouth, and then the inside of the fleshy party of each nostril. The swabs needed for operations are much worse than what's being done in Australia.
