Where did you re-enter the US?
Detroit, which is one of our favorite airports. Very clean, very easy to get through, and a good amount of food options compared to what we have at Dayton or Cincy.

Another benefit of Detroit, being that it’s an inland international airport and not like JFK, or Atlanta, or Philly, there usually aren’t a lot of planes arriving from outside the US at once. We walked off the plane and walked through immigration and then customs without breaking our stride, very nearly. 30 seconds with passport control, and we were done.

Should all go well and tomorrow morning I'll be boarding my flight to Aruba for a short vacation. These days I refrain from getting too excited about travel because things are a bit unpredictable and plans can get ruined at the last minute, but today I'm really looking forward to spending time inside a plane and going somewhere new.

No conclusive results yet from the rheumatologist. He wants another blood test and physical appointment soon, so it hopefully shows more conclusive results. He believes me, but the markers just don't clearly point to a specific form of reuma yet. He will however keep monitoring and treating my pain until we know what it is, because he does still think it is rheumatic pain.

Also on monday is my first appointment at the University hospital for my CTEPH. So interesting to see what they say as well.

I hope you can get answers soon, Windigo!

I woke up this morning with my nose running like crazy. Wasn’t sure if it was allergies from having to turn on the wall furnace at the cottage (it went down to 1 degree here last night!) or if I was getting sick.

Lying out on the porch wrapped in a blanket I feel much better - looks like allergies was the likely culprit. Normally I’d go for a walk to warm up, but not really an option for me right now with the broken ankle. Little less than 5 more weeks to go in to the cast.

The cattery we use have decided that they are no longer going to look after small pets, they really struggled this year in the horrendous heat to keep them cool so have decided not to take them in at all. However, with Rolo being one of their own they will happily continue to look after him whilst we are away but not between June and September. Fully understand their reasons but it is a bit of a pain if we want to go away during that time finding someone we trust to look after him. Just concerned about giving him to strangers when he doesn't have his buddy for support. The cattery owners and us are the only humans he has ever known.
