When you come down from the ceiling let us know how it was
I have had 2 chunks and it is very bitter, probably not a good idea to have any more.

@SatNavSaysStraightOn, what is the hospital food like? I was thinking about you and the fact that you are vegan with eggs and wondering what they served up.
I would assume it would be better than what we get in our hospitals, in my experience it was awful.
Absolute heavenLooking forward to giving this a try later

Grate some (1/2 oz or so), add 1/2 pt milk or milk and water, and boil, stirring until the chocolate melts. Give it a good whisk and add sugar to taste. Can't give you exact amounts; it depends on your taste. I make mine just with water and use more chocolate - no milk, no sugar - but that may be an acquired taste if you like sweet stuff.I have had 2 chunks and it is very bitter, probably not a good idea to have any more.
The last time I was in hospital I was in a day unit. The op was at 4.30 p.m.; I don't do anaesthetics very well and came round at 1.15 a.m. Needless to say they had to keep me in. But once I did come round, I had tea and food whenever I wanted throughout the rest of the night. There was only one other person there (same problem).I have only ever been in one. A one night farce and a long story.
Yes its dreadful. A friend of mine who spent a lot of time in hospital said its best to say you are Muslim - then you get decent food. I don't know if that is true!

It is reasonably good. I'm vegan as far as they ate concerned though the nutritionalist knows I'm vegan and eggs. they have 4 vegan make which are variously served with boiled rice (white), green beans, corn, peas, carrots, different potatoes (jackets minus the skins (I'll leave you to work that one out), grain, boiled, mashed etc). The 4 are pumpkin curry with green beans and tofu, bean casserole with tofu, lentil curry and an aubergine curry. All are edible with good flavour bit my last favourite is probably the bean casserole.@SatNavSaysStraightOn, what is the hospital food like? much better thankfully.I would assume it would be better than what we get in our hospitals, in my experience it was awful.

I even get a vegan jelly, soya milk custard (needs sugar), various stewed fruits, breakfast cereal as normal with soya milk, toast with jams of choice or Vegemite, bread with every meal... I'm well fed. It just got a little monotonous in ICU because you don't choose your menu in ICU so on occasion I got served pumpkin and green bean tofu curry with steamed pumpkin and sliced green beans, plus I only got 2 options in ICU, and I would get the same for lunch and evening meal. But is significantly better than in the UK where except in the private system, my husband had to feed me.
much better thankfully.

I hope you are lucky on both counts.
Puffins are strange birds. It seems that you are either needing to use binos to see a tiny bit of them and a short glimpse and come away considering yourself lucky to have seen one, or you find that they are not in the slightest bit bothered by your presence and will walk right up to you.
I remember one trip we had to the Orkney Islands. We went over to Westray I think it was (could have been Papa Westray, but it is the one you can get to with the car, rather than foot passengers only). Anyhow, we had gone out to look for Puffins at one of the cliffs
