I think I struck lucky as I booked a hotel by the seaside for Thursday - and its set to be record high temperatures on Thursday down in Kent.

So far, so good - temperature is 27C. People are sunbathing on the beach.

We were sat in the pub garden with a meal and beer, enjoying a glorious sunny day

My boss is retiring this year, it is going to feel very strange having a new one. Four people are being interviewed on Tuesday so as part of my job is receptionist, I answer the bell so maybe I will be the first to see her.

The weather has been quite spectacular. It felt like August. Today on Whitstable beach:

It's absolutely glorious. I'm sat outside for my lunch. I had my first short sleeves and three quarter leggings bike ride on Wednesday evening. Having the back door open at home. Washing on the line. Can't ask for more.
