I've just noticed today's birthdays in the paper and had to raise an eyebrow at seeing that Ozzy Osbourne is 70. I can't imagine many people, least of all Ozzy, envisaged him getting that far.

Morning from Aus/Oz

Have just scrolled past the last 20+ pages of posts since my last visit to this thread.

I’ve been working full time a decent drive each day from home and just exhausted by the time I get tea on the table. So I’ve be MIA from this corner of the internet.

Sorry to read about your very long hospital stay @SatNavSaysStraightOn but love reading about your garden & chooks. Lemons in blossom are amazing.

Lovely anniversary trip to Fiji @Lullabelle - many happy returns.

My eldest has finished her exams, graduated high school and had her formal graduation dinner. That’s been taking up most of our family focus not to mention cash. It’s been an expensive year with her 18th birthday extravaganza and now this formal event. The next stage is all the driving. They must log 125 hours before they can sit the practical driving test. That’s a lot of petrol.

Planning on a few trips to see family & friends. I’ll post some pics for you all.

It is good to see you back. Thank you for your good wishes.

Ozzys coming here soon, my son mentioned he was going, that surprised me, I never knew he liked him. Think he said ticket was $170?

Bloody miracle really. And the love of a good if pushy & abrasive woman.

As a little kid my daughter was obsessed with Ozzy and his family on their reality tv show.

To quote Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel (who are both 77)

"How terribly strange to be seventy".

Or Roger Daltrey (who's 74):

"Hope I die before I get old".

A lovely evening with friends, lots of food and a fun cheese board

Mini Babybel! Was that the joke part? I actually like them, though I don't really know why! They are oddly similar to the American cheese which has been discussed in this thread.

Yes. One evening someone commented that 1 of the cheeses tasted like a baby bell, so for a giggle the deli manager gave us baby bells

This is such a special occasion I have put on some eye makeup

Cannot get on with pencil eyeliner so I have bought liquid liner, so much easier to apply although still fiddly for a newbie @morning glory is the eyeliner guru

Note to self: when choosing to wear makeup always make sure you have remover as well, soap and water don't work, wet wipes aren't so good either, there is a bit of 'Alice Cooper' going on with my eyes today :giggle:
