Hi been away from the forum for a short while again. Partially down to me just being me but also because I've just recovered from a bout of sepsis.
I thought I just had the flu at first, but after several days of cycling between far to hot, cold, sweating and uncontrollably shivering, then noticing my wee was dark brown I realised something else was up. Went to the doc and turns out I had urinary sepsis, antibiotics soon sorted what was left.
It seemed to knock my immune system out a bit so I got a load of cold sores around my mouth.
The good news is that by Wednesday of last week the biggest of them fell off.
The bad news is I only discovered this after I'd finished a cup of tea...

Best diet plan ever! I lost almost a stone in weight in just under two weeks!

Sorry to hear this - it sounds very nasty. Glad you are on the mend and hopefully your appetite is returning.
 
Last night we went into town to a gig, the back room of a small pub, I bought 2 drinks £1.00 it cost me, that was for a diet coke for my husband, I asked for a bottle of water instead they gave me a free glass of tap water.
 
Crazy army gunman running amok 200 km west of us. Indiscriminate firing of an assault rifle. Could be up to 25 innocent people dead and many more injured. He currently has 16 people hostage in a shopping Mall.

I was within 5 mins from a mass shooting at two mosques here last year, many shot dead. Luck can be good or bad. I tend to have good luck. Yorky

Just read it here, a land dispute that got out of hand, the shooter is posting on poo pourri book.

Yep, twice I've been up close to something like that (one mass shooting, one bombing), and missed being in the thick of it by a handful of seconds.

I did the food poisoning diet (what happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas) once. I looked great afterwards, but can't say I recommend it.

Back in '82 I worked in St. Fergus in Aberdeenshire in February. Horizontal hail from the North Sea. I still have the scars on my face!

I actually worked there from February to July. It snowed in July that year.
