And another blasted infection. Docs going to run tests to see if I was just unlucky or if 'something else's is going on.

Trouble is if you get laid low by an infection then your whole immune system is compromised and its all too easy to get another. Hope its not going to be too bad.

I've not yet resorted to wearing a mask. Not outside working hours, anyway.

I'm having to keep prodding hubby... he hasn't left the house since coming home from hospital on Friday (but he's only missed gales, storms, torrential rain and flooding, so not much). He's at the doctors this afternoon which will be an achievement... Then the chemist for more meds and then he wants toast and coffee at the cafe across the road... guess the scooter is coming with us.

I hired him one of these.

After I saw him on the crutches. He's been having huge fun in the house wheeling around in circles. There's a circuit in the house that runs, kitchen, dining room, sitting room, hallway, and back to kitchen. He does circuits though occasionally also does U turns in the sitting room...
He's having way too much fun imo...

Most blokes still have the inner kid, lol.

Russ

To be honest, I would wheel around on that as well

Regarding the divine Ms. Dr. Lucy, I had a real laugh last night, because immediately upon watching "A Very British Romance," with LW, we watched an episode of Cuckoo, and the very first line of dialogue from the episode was, "Ohhhh...hello Lucy Worsley," and we learn that the main character, Ken, is asleep and having one of those dreams, and it's about Lucy Worsley! Makes sense, because Ken is a history buff, but it was hilarious to go immediately from a Worsley documentary, to a half-hour sitcom, and the first spoken line is, "Ohhh...hello Lucy Worsley!"

I have met Lucy Worsley, she is 4'2" tall, swears like a navvie, and smells of sprouts, but don't let that put you off.

Thank you all for your quick responses, and again, it’s good to be involved with this community.
Apoligies for not responding sooner like I intended to do.
That day in question (2/13) started out looking up smaller-type gyms/health centers to join that were on the Silver Sneakers website.

I gathered some addresses, and low and behold, the first two were not there anymore!
The third health center was so big it had its own swimming center (building) and the actual gym building a few hundred yards away from it looked quite massive from the exterior.

So I found a true ‘24 Hour’ Fitness slightly out of my immediate area, which had at least 50-75 treadmills in the front room, so I nixed that.
By then it was raining even harder, and I was sort of striking out on my gym quest, so I headed over to Costco.

It was Thursday, and most Costco’s in Cali. and Oregon get their fresh Tuna delivered on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays (when available), which they had plenty of that day.
In addition to that, they had the seafood show (which is usually on alternating weekends), but because it was the day before Valentines Day, I was in luck.
That meant I could get fresh scallops, which up until two weeks ago, I hadn’t eaten in several or more decades.

The first ones I made came out perfect in my smaller cast iron pan, both in texture and browned appearance, which was the first time I ever made them BTW.

A few days ago however, I decided to put the same amount (about 12oz) in a larger cast iron pan, as the first batch were bordering on being slightly crowded in the smaller pan.
The extra space in the pan, plus the fact that I dried these off completely beforehand, made them brown a little faster and made them look worse than they tasted, but they still were tender and moist.
I should have called them (slightly) Blackened Scallops, and called it a day!

I also fried a piece of the tuna and was eager to post both of them the in the ‘What did you cook/eat today (February 2020)?' thread, but because of the scallops I opted out.
Well, that turned into strike three.

Strike one was when I was already on the road and went on the SS website and allowed them to use my current location for searching purposes, which was about ten miles from where I live.
I couldn’t clear that from future searches on my Mac no matter how hard I tried, so I had to call the website and ask them to give me a half-dozen suggestions closer to where I live, which they semi-reluctantly did!

All is well now.
I was anxious to use my older-newly seasoned cast irons (which works well for the tuna), but next time I think I’ll use my stainless skillet for the scallops instead, or lower the heat on the former!

Just a reminder - next Tuesday is 25th February.
