Wow. It sounds like quite an undertaking...supplies,repairs,the drive itself...renting is a good option indeed...
Driving actually gives you freedom...starting when you want, right from your place or the pick up place, returning when you want...
Do you expect a heavier traffic over Easter?

Traffic is an unknown. It was not bad on regular weekends during Covid. I don't think it will be too bad for Easter, but it might.

When I drive to Austin of San Antonio, I have some wonder county highways I can use instead to the crowded Interstate highways. I love that. Very little traffic, especially big trucks (lorries). Some sections of highway have great curvy sections to play with.

But, Dallas to Houston, it is I-45 all the way. There aren't any good alternatives.

Catherine was searching today's Guardian for an April fool story. Pausing for a moment, she said, "The trouble these days is that most news sounds totally implausible anyway." Undeniably true - in the last couple of days, we have learned that there is, apparently, no such thing as institutional racism in the UK and that Bozo "acts with honesty and integrity."

Eventually, though, she discovered it. The story was about a plan to build a second Suez canal. And yes, it definitely was an April fool.

Wouldn't it be funny if someone put a Monty Python dish in the April "What did you cook or eat today" thread, and people "liked" it?"

Waiting on delivery of tile for my backsplash install next week.

They called at 7:15AM - "We'll be there in 20...30 minutes, tops."

It's been 45 minutes...no tile.

Maybe it was an April Fool's Day joke! :)

Snow? Seriously? That’s got to be one of the all-time greatest April Fools’ Day pranks ever.
