Last night boyfriend and I played this board game called "Unfair", where you have to build your own funfair with attractions and whatnot. The fun part of this game is the sheer meanness of it. You can play cards to destroy the opponent's parks and dismiss their staff and even the game can play cards against you that make you lose money and attractions. Boyfriend wanted to play the game in a modified version called "world peace" where the mean aspects of the game are removed but that's just not fun.

We are now done for Easter, a much needed long break.

My Easter "break" will be a five hour drive to Houston tomorrow, a weekend doing home repairs for my family and eating mediocre food (my sister could not find a leg of lamb anywhere, so I'm not cooking Easter dinner), followed by another five hour drive back home on Monday. I hate the drive between Dallas and Houston, and I can't fly down and back, because my mom insists that I bring my dog.

Half ham should be here today for Easter Monday. I will serve glazed.

Russ

Looks like we are having a honey baked ham for Easter instead of the rotisserie leg of lamb I was going to cook. My sister went all over, and could not find a leg of lamb -- even at COSTCO, that always has a good selection of lamb. So, she bought the usual Easter ham.

Oh well, I'll get a ham bone with scraps to freeze for ham and bean soup.

Do you ever play the card game UNO? That can be a cutthroat game. I used to have UNO parties at my apartment in college. It was really mean if you secretly cooperated with someone to pick on another opponent.

Uno is a really fun, light game, I love it. I love any game with a degree of meanness in it, the so called "take that" games.

5 hours is a looong drive. Do you insert breaks now and then? Backspine would probably benefit from stretching ...
I hear from my boyfriend he gets aches after several hours seated...

I rent a car, or in this case a full-size pickup truck I'll need to get supples for the aforementioned home repairs. My 13-year-old Mini CooperS is not a good long-distance cruiser for a 59-year-old man. The kind of truck I'm talking about is very comfortable. A pickup-truck in Texas can easily cost more than a Mercedes Benz, and rival the MB for luxury.

I do take a bathroom break along the way, which allows me to walk around a bit.

Wow. It sounds like quite an undertaking...supplies,repairs,the drive itself...renting is a good option indeed...
Driving actually gives you freedom...starting when you want, right from your place or the pick up place, returning when you want...
Do you expect a heavier traffic over Easter?
