So I needed to make room in my freezer, 1 kg of frozen raspberries picked during summer, so I made jam/ jelly. Got 8 small jars. As I'm typing the lids are popping. They are sealed.

Pics to follow, can't beat home made raspberry jam, takes me back to my mums kitchen many years ago.

I fell asleep around 11:30PM, but Mother Nature woke me up a short time later. Rain and noise this time around. Again, the storms are predicted to get worse as they move East into Mississippi and Alabama.

Yes. Loud noises don't bother him. He woke up like I did, but wasn't afraid.

Edit: If I am watching a football game, and yell at the TV, I sometimes have to make sure he knows I'm not yelling at him.

My, well daughters King Charles used to hide under the beds, she used to shiver, it really bothered me, then guy Fawkes , that was bad as well. They are trying to ban fireworks here because of the animals.

Amateur fireworks are banned here. I live on a prairie prone to droughts. Bad things can happen.

Forth of July and NYE fireworks shows are done by professionals, and the local baseball team shoots fireworks at the end of each winning game (also by professionals), but they are far enough away that they don't bother dogs in my neighborhood.

Sounds just perfect.
That reminds me of my Homemade mandarine marmelade, November probably...first time in many years, and it was delicious. A whole lot of sugar but good. Got two 1 kg jars. One eaten, one to go.

That is a good approach.
We used to get a lot of noise from firecrackers around Nye or significant football wins...
I don't get it, the thrill I mean, it just goes bang, no show no firework, just bang.
Quite often someone gets hurt by clumsy handling.
I think authorities banned them from 1.1.2021
