Different topic because it fascinates me. Here is the live shot from Boca Chica the SpaceX playground.

On the left Starship SN15 that may fly next week, next an experimental nose section in a frame so they can stress test it, with the big crane "Bluto" attending to it, Then the tank farm for the Orbital Launch Facility being built, and finally on the right the Orbital Launch Pad under construction. Meanwhile SpaceX have two Crew Dragon capsules currently docked at the ISS, one of them on it's second mission.
Also, while this is going on, NASA is flying a helicopter on Mars, and making breathable oxygen from the Martian atmosphere.

Exciting stuff.

It is fascinating. I drew my kid into it, several y ago we watched ISs, and Nasa astronauts prep, Iss life...
I don't track it to much detail but follow the news...and lovevreading about the creation of Universe.
Hence my fascination with the muons recently posted.

Am I alone in being 'underwhelmed' by the video footage from Ingenuity? Let's face it, Martian terrain isn't exactly the most colourful or exciting to look at. I thought the atmosphere looked red. In the video it looks beige.

It isn't on the top of my holiday list either.

Yep, I get it. The overwhelming part, I suppose, is that it's on Mars, but the footage itself is  for about 15 seconds, then the thrill kind of drains away.

Oh, us 21st century humans are so hard to please.

Visually ...hm...mostly it is in the imagination and the inaccessability...I think...
Am not the brightest in astrophysics. But greatly fascinated by it and love trying to understand it.

There is this funny anecdote. One night back from my jogg I saw what was apparently the Moon. Huge, huge, 10 x the usual size. And orange. Quite a sight. I thought could that be Mars?😂

Asked a friend. He said Nope.

Asked Igor. He said, well, nope.

Ever since, he asks me did I see Mars again?
It was the Moon.🤔😁

Yes, well the things we don't see are what fascinates me here...
For one, I cannot imagine 480 million km...cannot...
For two, the engineering behind the successful landing upon Mars...steering through the millions km...

the forces, the winds, the temperatures, the flying dust, the asteroids, planetoids etc levitating....blows my mind...

And three, the even further distances that exist in other galaxies, and the multitude of galaxies, is... aaww...

Today is Elbe Day.

A significant day in the history of the world. On this day, Allied troops sweeping in from the west and the Red Army advancing from the east joined forces on the Elbe river, near Torgau, about 100 km south of Berlin. They shook hands, exchanged souvenirs and posed for photographs. The meeting was historic because it meant that they had successfully cut the Germany army in two.

Just watching two murican teams play rugby Los Angeles vs San Diego. This is a prelude to my team about to play. Crusaders vs blues. The blues absolutely hate us. Auckland the big smoke blues vs cantabs laid back people.
Winner is in the final.
