This just in... on his final show last Friday, Tucker Carlson had a Pizza shop owner on, who delivered to Tucker his requested sausage and pineapple pizza.

Now we know why he was fired.

That guy is just the epitome of bad taste.

SatNavSaysStraightOn are you OK out there? You seem quite absent. How's the recovery going?

I'm OK, but struggling. A lot going on in my plate at the moment. On top of my mother having a stroke back in February, and not being able to fly back to the UK to see her because of my (at the time) impending operation, then my operation and being discharged early on Good Friday, one of my younger brothers (47 yrs old) had a stroke in the early hours of Easter Monday. So things are tough at the moment and my brother hasn't received very good treatment (or any at all).

I'm hoping to try cooking tomorrow, so hubby is staying home to work from home in case it's too much for me... it seems that one of our favourite cuisines uses celery extensively.

But I'm still sleeping a lot, and also getting a lot of cramp in my legs from trying to do too much, but also from a "leg extension". The femur has been extended 5mm to go away with the need for me using a heel raiser ask the time (you can't in slippers or sandals which was causing a few problems for me and unnecessary pain). Once the muscle relaxed and stretches, things will settle but they're is also a long internal slow dissolving stitch running through the muscle as well, so it's very tight and not happy. But it's better than it was last time with the other hip and my progress is ahead of the previous operation, so I'm actually doing well, it just doesn't feel like it because of the pain and the fact I'm on lower pain meds that same time last time round and already back on what I was on before the op. I just get grumpy when I'm in pain, so avoid contact with friends because I will read things the wrong way when they were not meant the wrong way and get annoyed, upset, or upset others etc...

So don't be surprised if I'm not about tomorrow after I've cooked! I'm likely hurting, grumpy and avoiding people, so just binge watching netflix or similar and knitting or sleeping.

I will try to get the latest "purchases" out and photographed though. I've also got another load of purchases coming this week, so another supply of goodies!

He has, he just doesn't get calories or various concepts related to healthy eating, like portion control.

He's made a few soups from scratch. And I've a freezer full of meals to reheat for at least a month each that he's reheating and adding veg and protein to.

I'm going to try cooking tomorrow and he's staying home so that if I need help or need to stop, he can step in and take over. But he has no feel for flavours and food and I can't for the life of me get him to taste test whilst cooking...

He's brilliant at baking where recipes need following to the letter but adapting things to our tastes, that is me, not him...

I guess it's like my wife cooking for me? Not going to end good lol.

He had certain dishes he is excellent at but then there is the rest of the world to explore and that's where he fails. But he works, I don't, so I cook, clean, garden, grow stuff and do on... usually that is. Right now he's doing it all. This time last year it was nearly my time to be doing it all (he had surgery at the start of May last year that left him off his feet totally for 8 weeks)... today he swept the chimney and actually cleaned out the stove of the clinker from the chimney. He's done the lawn over the last 3 days and planted my garlic for me plus told me he's started to weed the veg plot but stopped because he wasn't sure what was actually weed and what was veg (that means he has likely pulled up some radish accidentally! Lol). And he did the monthly so alone on Saturday. He's also looking after 2 of the chooks we've got in the veranda at the moment who need a little extra attention, and that means cleaning them out regularly and do on. He also hovered the house on Sunday (I won't call it cleaning... I did find the unsealed bag of vacuum cleaner inners in the mud room... he emptied the cleaner to use it but then left the contents in the mud room (I try not to say anything but he leaves things open or undone rather a lot.

He caught me out badly during the week when he made me a flask up with boiling water and a herbal tea bag before he went into Canberra for work. He'd set out my lunch and so on. But he'd not put the lid on the flash tightly, so when I inverted it to mix the contents, it sprayed near boiling water all over my bare arms. That hurt and I did have to say something. Usually I remember and double check.... his father tells me his mother is exactly the same. Lids not done up, just placed on; cupboard doors only pushed to, not closed; same with doors so they catch the breeze and either creak constantly or bang shut and do on.

He found the one thing worse than ham and pineapple. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The pineapple has a bad rap for no reason.

Russ
It’s not the pineapple in itself…it’s putting it on a tomato sauce-covered piece of bread that’s the issue.

That’s how MrsT is. I learned a long time ago to never pick anything up by its lid, unless I want a spilled or dropped jar mess to clean up.

Pineapple on pizza is like peanut butter in ice cream. The hate is just made up, either you're cool and dislike pizza Hawaii or you're not cool and like it. It's not the recipe what makes a pizza good. It's how much money and time can you spend, to find a good baker
