My husband has tinnitus too, in a mild form like you. It seems awful to me to constantly have a buzz in your ears. My husband also didn't get it from concerts, it's inherited from his father in his case. Fingers crossed for you both for it not getting worse!
So I've had a bit of bronchitis for a week and was feeling awful, just kept getting worse. Yesterday I sent a message to my doctor though the mycharrt system with my healthcare explaining my symptoms and asking if he could call in an antibiotic for it. He agreed and put me on augmentin. Two doses in today and my symptoms are nearly gone and...fingers crossed...my tinnitus is gone! I don't know if this is just a fluke but for now, the ringing in my ears is gone for the first time in 4 years...so happy. It might be temporary but I'm so content at the moment. Not drowning and my brain is quiet. Ahhhh.

Hi guys 👋

Sorry I've been away so long.

Took a group of women on mobikes from Blighty to Lake Geneva and round the Swiss/French alps and have been a bit more tied up than anticipated.

Thought of you while enjoying some of the culinary exploits I sampled and would like to share but time was the absolutely my master on this trip.

Back now. Can't wait to catch up 😊

Boudin noir rolls.. delicious 😁

Boudin noir is something very different in France, compared to cajun Boudin in Louisiana. Very different.

Had the apple version wrapped in pastry with sliced apple, just delicious.
Ordered some from 'Francophile' before I left.

Arrived today can't wait to try it out.

Best gluten free picnic lunch item I've ever eaten!

Cajun boudin would be gluten free, too. It is a sausage made with rice, pork and seasonings. Originally, it was pork livers, but now it is mostly pork shoulder -- at least the boudin I buy. Of course, it started as food for poor folk. Now it's just good food.

I like to grill mine on the cooler side of the grill to get some smokey flavor into the boudin.

Summer arrived very suddenly today, and a month early. We hit a record for this date, 96F/36C. :heat:

It's going to be hot all weekend. We have a chance of storms every day for about a week.

We've given in this week and finally lit the stove. The result when it is that when it's sunny like today we end up with the front door and side windows open trying to not overheat :o_o: but several mornings this week have been down at 1°C or similar and we're due minus figures in the next few days.

But because it has rained recently, hubby is now out cutting the lawn. And hoovering up some of the millions of chook feathers that are littering our garden.

Several of my chooks are also doing the "live supermarket" chicken act as we call it! I've never understood why the start of the cold weather is the time for moulting. Just when you need you feathers to be at their warmest, you ditch all of them and grow new which takes about a month.

This chook is called Lavender. And she did the same last year. It's called a dramatic moult. Her back in bare much like last year. Everywhere she stops, there is a trail of features. The irony is that she only moults like this because she is fit and healthy, but you're left apologising to visitors who don't have chooks so don't know... thankfully our post lady has chooks, because she's our most frequent visitor and usually has to play dodge with the entire flock.

This is close to home... way too close. 8.2 miles close.

CNN — Eight people were killed and at least seven others injured when a gunman opened fire at an outlet mallnear Dallas Saturday afternoon, marking the latest act of gun violence to shatter an American community as they are enjoying activities in public places.

As the sound of gunfire began to resonate through the Allen Premium Outlets parking lot, panicked shoppers screamed and ducked behind rows of cars as others sprinted across the lot, one witness video shows.

I've mentioned buying my Le Ceuset at an outlet mall. This is the one.

A photo obtained by CNN shows what appears to be the gunman lying on the ground after being shot, with an AR-15-style firearm nearby. He is clad in black body armor and appears to have several extra magazines strapped in his chest gear.

Time for another round of "thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families." Nothing else is going to happen, especially in a Red State like Texas.

CD

I shop at that mall from time to time. Le Creuset, Eddie Bauer, Nike, Macy's, and even Nordstrom have outlets and overstock stores there. I never go on weekends, as the place is packed with cars and people then. I'm sure that's why the shooter chose a Saturday. He had an abundance of targets.

The toll is up to nine dead, now. Still four more in critical condition. I believe another five are in stable condition. The youngest victim taken to the closest hospital is five years old. Luckily, there are two hospitals very close to that mall.

Another lucky thing is that an Allen police officer just happened to be in the parking lot on an unrelated call, saw the shooter, and killed him. Otherwise, the shooter could have taken a lot more lives.
