This is a joke. The old part of Amersfoort is called ' muurhuizen ' which means wall houses. Because the old big houses stood against the city walls.
But ' huurmuizen ' means ' renting mice ' which makes this a funny pun.

It says ' The building of Muurhuizen 33 was realised in 1578 and until 1907 the first incarnation of the saint Elisabeth hospital was found here. This was the first hospital in Amersfoort.
It offered a place to stay for those patients who were bedbound and deathly ill. '
