Treating yourself

Thank you! She's a bit spoiled... :whistling:
Ours are too! They expect something now whenever we come home from getting food out, either their own cheeseburger plain half or bites from mommy's food wrapped up in napkins from her purse, and definitely a couple of bites of our eat at home food, though they don't always get that.

He didn't get any, but while I was eating my piece of pecan upside down cake for breakfast in the chaise part of the sofa, Strider sat as close as he could get, with his chin on the chaise arm staring at my plate resting inches away while I was eating.

He's adorable! And that cake looks pretty yummy...
Both I'm sure! When I come out of Dollar General she has to check the bag...
I know that they sell doggie treats there.

Like Pippi eats doggie treats... :roflmao:

She likes the beef jerky from Morelo's Market. I shopped a lot at the Mexican markets in Las Vegas since veggies were ridiculously cheap and they also sold jerky, made in house. Was about $9/lb. when I was getting it for her in 2014 but she's sold on it!

Well if she's gotten to be 10 years older than she was then and still can chew it, she deserves it. I am sure it takes her a bit of time to get through a package of it (assuming you distribute it judiciously).

Oysters 2 or 3 times a year. @35 a doz
Apart from that we can have anything we want. We dont really indulge but we have the means. Wife likes a good whiskey but she hardly drinks. We have a cupboard of spirits. Mainly GOOD whiskey.

When I was in college back in Florida there was a bar where on Tuesdays they had 10 cent oysters, all you wanted. You could have them steamed or raw. They were from Apalachicola Bay which back then were amongst the best to be had (recent hurricanes have made that currently not the case and it may be a long time before they are safe to eat again).

Ours are bluff oysters harvested in the deep south. A district taste worth every cent I pay. I normally get a dozen fried and a dozen raw..these are soaked in malt vinegar and loads white pepper.

When I was in Florida recently (NW FL panhandle) visiting family, my DH's cousin's wife and I baked a bunch of oysters Rockefeller. They were so good! I would eat some of your Bluff oysters for sure. Nowadays the waters in much of the USA bays where oysters are harvested are so polluted it's just not safe to eat them.

Our beds were closed a few years ago due to a disease. I think scientists fixed that??????
I've made for friends Rockefeller and another that I can't quite remember at the moment.
