I spent almost 2 hours watering the garden today. we only get water on Saturday/Sunday, so I thought I'd better take advantage.

I can relate, kind of. While mining a placer claim in Searchlight NV the water truck only showed up once a month. We drank lots of beer...

I needed a woollen cardigan after it went from +30C down to 13C last night as a cold front from the antarctic swept through. Dropped that in the space of an hour or soI need a jacket at 29 °C
My sweater goes on when the temp drops below 24C...

Last year I had 12 plants and going for 54 this year.

Raked it all even after the tilling and then rode the lawnmower over it in all directions to grind it up and pack it down. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I'll till it again and then repeat with the mower prior to planting. Shouldn't, , be many grubs left to devour it all!
The garlic that I planted on Halloween is growing nicely. Tomorrow I'll get back out there and trim the dead leaves. Some of them didn't make it when we had temperatures in the teens for days on end.

My seed germinating thing cobbled together with a heating pad on low, a towel, and some plastic bags is working pretty well. 74 °F would be ideal but I'm not picky. The house cools to 68 °F at night so this is working.
