The flare on the outside lip determines whether it drips. That one looks like the same flare on the plastic non-drip ones.I just got it yesterday. Filled it and tipped it over once. It didn't drip down the side of the bottle. I really haven't given it a test run yet.

I don’t find it difficult at all. I fill it with hot soapy water and the hole the spout pourer bit fits in is finger sized so one wipe and it’s done.It's that narrow neck that makes it a pain to wash.
