The best one ever was for another cousins wedding. It was totally unexpected. They got married very young and their reception was in the back yard of their rental. The islanders that lived in the house behind them & with whom they’d made friends did a pork, cabbage & root veg hungi as a wedding gift. It was a very special experience for my Anglo family.

Yes it's very yummy alright, for my 40th a Tongan friend of my family did a suckling pig on a pole over wooden embers, that crackling was amazing, he turned it by hand for about 6 hrs. The islanders and Maoris know how to cook with fire alright.

A big salad - rotisserie chicken, apples, raisins, walnuts, bleu cheese, mixed greens w poppyseed dressing. Tonight's plan is crab cakes & asparagus/sliced Roma tomato salad over butter lettuce. Posted a pic and description recently.
